Buddha in Paradise : Three Moments for Enlightenment
A Slide show and talk by Glenn H. Mullin Venues: Lecture and slide show at Northwestern University, followed by dinner at The Tibet Center, 828 Dempster, Evanston IL 60202
Recently Glenn curated an art exhibit for the Rubin Museum of Art in New York, entitled Buddha in Paradise, and also wrote the accompanying reader. The exhibit previewed at the Carlos Museum in Emory University during the Dalai Lama's visit to Atlanta (Oct 19th to23).
Glenn's book for the first time in Western literature documents the Tibetan Buddhist attitude toward pure lands and paradises, culminating in the sexual practices of transference at the time of death by means of travel through the vaginal passage of the dakini. This esoteric technique is accomplished at the three essential moments of climatic tantric meditation, sleep and dreams, and finally at the orgasmic moment immediately preceeding death.

The Buddha Factory: Tsar Chod and the Six Yogas of Naropa
The lineage of Tsar Chod, or "Cutting Out the Root (of Ignorance), comes from the 12th century Tibetan female mystic Machik Labdon, and is practiced by all schools of Tibetan Buddhism. The legacy known as the Six Yogas of Naropa, descending from the 11th century Indian master Naropa, is similarly popular within all schools.

Many Tibetan and MOngolian masters today practice the two lineages as a cohesive tradition of tantric vipassana known as mahamudra. Our weekend session of practice and instruction explores this unique legacy, that has brought enlightenment in one lifetime to thousands of Buddhist practitioners over the past centuries.
