At present we are accepting applicants for participation in two tours planned for May and June of 2005.
May 2005: The Dakini Power Places of Central Tibet
June 2005: A Pilgrimage to Kailas, Most Sacred of Mountains
Please note that we will probably meet in Nepal and rest there for a few days in order to acclimatize to being in Asia. The Kathmandu Valley has many wonderful Buddhist power places, such as Swambhunath and Boudhanath, and we will visit these. Also, Kathmandu is at approx. 4,000 feet altitude, so a few days there prepares people a bit for Lhasa's 12,000. HOWEVER, if the minor conflict in Nepal with the Maoists escalates rather than diminishes, we will come in through China. |

| May 2005: "The Dakini Power Places of Central Tibet." |
|
| From Nepal (or China) we will fly to Tibet, and spend several nights in Tsetang, the cradle of Tibetan civilization. During this time we will make day outings to the chosen places, such as Samye, Chimpu, Olhka Cholung, and so forth. We will then move to Lhasa, where we will meditate in the Potala, Jokhang, and other sacred sites, as well as make outing to the great places of the region, including Drak Yerpa and Terdrom. After this we will drive to Gyangtse via the Turquoise Lake, continuing to Shigatse and Sakya, visiting the dakini sites on the way. From Sakya we will either drive out to Nepal or back to the Lhasa airport for our flight back to China, as the case may be. Click here for day by day itinerary. |

June 2005: "Lhasa and Mt Kailas"
The second trip (in June) begins with four nights in Lhasa in order to acclimatize to the altitude. We then drive west for five days over the high plateau to Mt Kailash, tenting on the way. We do the three day kora of Kailas, crossing two very high passes, tenting in beautiful valleys as we go, with our Sherpa crew caravanning our tents, luggage, food, etc., on yaks. Afterwards we have the five day drive to Kathmandu, with tenting until we arrive in Nepal |
