 Over the past decade and a half Glenn has led over two dozen trips to the power places of Central Tibet. The first few of these came in through China, but since 1994 all have begun in Nepal. Kathmandu’s modern ambiance provides a great setting for getting over any jetlag incurred by the long flight from North America, while providing a wonderful setting in which to acclimatize to Asian culture and diet. Moreover, its 4,000’ altitude provides some preparation for the rigorous demands of Lhasa’s 12,000’ altitude, and the far higher altitudes of the power sites such as Ganden, Drak Yerpa, Reting, Lhamo Latso, Everest, and so forth. Our land agent in Nepal, and organizer of all aspects of our Nepal/Tibet travels, is Pawan Tuladhar of Dharma Adventures, one of the most exceptionally talented and highly committed organizers specializing in treks, tours and pilgrimages in Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan.
We hope to develop this part of my site by having members of previous tours post some of their photos and journals. Watch for this feature in the future.
